Krazy, Crazy, Krazy? Yep. Extreme Couponing has met it's match. GOOGLE

Editorial:

It would appear the very catalyst behind saving money in an "EXTREME" manner would wind up sowing the seeds of it's own demise.

Posts are now frantic, to the point of spammy. Curious how Google will see this. They don't particularly like a lot of the same stuff, over and over and over, with no UNIQUE content.

I'm curious to watch, especially those sites who's feeds are nothing but affiliate posts where they make money.

We will watch and I anticipate Matt Cutts to take a look at quality over quantity, if he ever lands here on a wave of his surf.

Do Extreme Coupon Sites SPAM?

In our opinion, Extreme coupon sites are spamming. They are reiterating time and time again the same information across multiple blogs without concern for posting quality content that is relevant on a local level.

Google will take notice in our opinion and see the Extreme Coupon sites for what they are, spammy.

If you are a couponer with aspirations to realize your savings daily without having to clear the shelves, join sites that are responsible and are not trying to get you to click to pay their wages. There are plenty of sites out there.

Mojosavings just announced they are "not extreme couponers". Check them out!

Couponing at any Cost | If variety included....

We have seen a lot of popular coupon sites out there featuring coupons with products the coupons were not intended for. And couponers are hanging on every deal these questionable deals present.

We heard of a local couple couponing in our local Kroger. Unfortunately, they were subscribing to the practices of the sites promoting (If variety included....) attempts to use coupons with products they were not intended for; we feel this is incorrect information to publish to the coupon community. The couponers left a very bitter taste in the mouth of the store and especially the manager who had to be called at home because these couponers wanted to argue. Below is an example of what we are talking about....

Suave Shampoo or Conditioner, 22.5 oz $0.79
Use B1G1 Free Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo or Styling from RP 8/14 if this variety is included
Or $0.50/2 – Suave Professionals Shampoo or Conditioner – (makinglifebetter.com) if this variety is included
Or $0.50/2 Suave Men’s Hair Products from RP 8/14 if this variety is included
Or $0.50/2 Suave Kid’s Shampoo or Conditioner from RP 8/14 if this variety is included
Final Price:  As low as $0.40 each when you buy 2

The example featured Suave Shampoo which is on sale at Kroger this week. Every coupon they recommended was not for the variety in the store, they have the circular in advance, they were attempting to use the Suave Professionals coupon to get it free. This, in our minds is fraudulent use and should not be done.

Retailers are becoming wise to this and manufacturers will eventually change the coupons to reflect statements like "not valid on a product under $1.00" or "use of coupon for unintended product may constitute fraud."

Folks, this is pretty serious and until people realize that you ONLY use a coupon on the item intended for, we are probably going to see someone get in trouble. Time will tell.

Krazy, Crazy, Coupons? WRONG! When will Extreme end?

Extreme Couponing's flash in the pan is coming soon to a TV near you, or should I say, its over.

It was fun, and we all got to watch their fifteen minutes of fame and semi-fortune. Unfortunately, they did not see the bigger picture. They well, I hate to say it, cleared the shelf.

The reality of the future of couponing is rooted in the past and they would have done themselves a service to speak with their mothers, their grandmothers, aunts, uncles, great grandparents if they wanted to know what it takes to sustain a position in the coupon game.

They didn't.

They wanted it all. They got it and then some. Then they blamed others. It's not their fault.

Folks, its plain and simple greed.

Here's to the rest of us! We enjoy saving money, enjoying our families, living life to the fullest without a concern in the world if we run out of mustard.

Peace and happiness to all our readers.

Woman Charged in Coupon Thefts

Blotter: Woman charged in coupon thefts

06:59 AM CDT on Wednesday, June 29, 2011
By Donna Fielder / Staff Writer
Extreme couponing cost a Denton woman a criminal charge Monday afternoon.
Police conducted an investigation after a man hired to watch local newspaper stands saw a woman in a black Cadillac SUV stop at two different vending racks, insert money for one Sunday newspaper and remove the plastic coupon packages from every newspaper in the rack, according to police reports.
The man called police about 8:30 a.m. June 5, saying he had been hired by the vendor to watch the racks and try to discover who was stealing the packages. The papers cannot be sold if the coupons are missing, he told officers.
He saw the woman stop and take coupon packages from a vending box in the 1700 block of Malone Street. Then he followed and stopped behind her at another rack on Sunset Street a few minutes later, and she again opened the newspaper vendor box.
He approached her and told her that police had been called. He told her to wait there with him for officers to arrive. But the woman would not wait, according to the report. She climbed into hervehicle and drove away.
The man was able to describe the woman and the SUV to police, who launched an investigation. Officer Ryan Grelle said detectives arrested Sybil Hobson, 37, of Denton, about 4:30 p.m. Monday on a charge of fraudulent destruction or removal or concealment of writing, which is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a $4,000 fine and up to one year in jail.
Grelle said the woman at first was arrested on a Class C theft charge, but after conferring with the Denton County District Attorney’s Office, detectives determined that the more serious charge was appropriate.
